The maintenance of coherent vortex topology by Lagrangian chaos in drift-Rossby wave turbulence
This work introduces the “potential vorticity bucket brigade,” a mechanism for explaining the resilience of vortex structures in magnetically confined fusion plasmas and geophysical flows.
