Finiteness of maximal geodesic submanifolds in hyperbolic hybrids
We show that large classes of non-arithmetic hyperbolic n -manifolds, including the hybrids introduced by Gromov and Piatetski-Shapiro and many of their generalizations, have only finitely many finite-volume immersed totally geodesic hypersurfaces.
