Relativistic Magnetohydrodynamics with Application to Gamma‐Ray Burst Outflows. I. Theory and Semianalytic Trans‐Alfvenic Solutions
We present a general formulation of special-relativistic magnetohydrodynamics and derive exact radially self-similar solutions for axisymmetric outflows from strongly magnetized, rotating compact objects.
