Viscous-elastic dynamics of power-law fluids within an elastic cylinder
We theoretically model the interaction of a non-Newtonian liquid with an elastic cylinder. For shear-thinning fluids, a step in pressure results in compactly supported propagation of deformation. This is in contrast to Stokes' problem where such propagation is observed in shear thickening fluids.
