State Preparation and Tomography of a Nanomechanical Resonator with Fast Light Pulses
Pulsed optomechanical measurements enable squeezing, non-classical state creation and backaction-free sensing. We demonstrate pulsed measurement of a cryogenic nanomechanical resonator with record precision close to the quantum regime.
