Observation of band crossings protected by nonsymmorphic symmetry in the layered ternary telluride <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mi>Ta</mml:mi><mml:mn>3</mml:mn></mml:msub><mml:msub><mml:mi>SiTe</mml:mi><mml:mn>6</mml:mn></mml:msub></mml:mrow></mml:math>

We have performed angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy of the layered ternary telluride ${\mathrm{Ta}}_{3}{\mathrm{SiTe}}_{6}$ which is predicted to host nodal lines associated with nonsymmorphic crystal symmetry. We found that the energy bands in the valence-band region show Dirac-like dispersions which present a band degeneracy at the $R$ point of the bulk orthorhombic …
