Neutral pion and $\ensuremath{\eta}$ meson production in the transverse momentum range 1 $<\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}{p}_{T}\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}<$ 20 $\mathrm{GeV}/c$ have been measured at midrapidity by the ALICE experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in central and semicentral Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{{s}_{\mathit{NN}}}$ = 2.76 TeV.
