A detailed analysis of the Kondo effect of a magnetic impurity in a zigzag graphene nanoribbon is addressed. An adatom is coupled to the graphene nanoribbon via a hybridization amplitude ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}}_{\mathrm{imp}}$ in a hollow- or top-site configuration.
