Suppression of magnetic excitations near the surface of the topological Kondo insulator <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:msub><mml:mi>SmB</mml:mi><mml:mn>6</mml:mn></mml:msub></mml:math>
We present a detailed investigation of the temperature and depth dependence of the magnetic properties of the three-dimensional topological Kondo insulator ${\mathrm{SmB}}_{6}$, in particular, near its surface.
