Ultrafast dynamics in the presence of antiferromagnetic correlations in electron-doped cuprate <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mrow><mml:msub><mml:mi>La</mml:mi><mml:mrow><mml:mn>2</mml:mn><mml:mo>−</mml:mo><mml:mi>x</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:msub><mml:msub><mml:mi>Ce</mml:mi><mml:mi>x</mml:mi></mml:msub><mml:msub><mml:mi>CuO</mml:mi><mml:mrow><mml:mn>4</mml:mn><mml:mo>±</mml:mo><mml:mi>δ</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:msub></mml:mrow></mml:math>
We used femtosecond optical pump-probe spectroscopy to study the photoinduced change in reflectivity of thin films of the electron-doped cuprate ${\mathrm{La}}_{2\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Ce}}_{x}{\mathrm{CuO}}_{4}$ (LCCO) with dopings of $x=0.08$ (underdoped) and $x=0.11$ (optimally doped).
