We describe experiments that probe the evolution of shear jammed states, occurring for packing fractions ${\ensuremath{\phi}}_{S}\ensuremath{\le}\ensuremath{\phi}\ensuremath{\le}{\ensuremath{\phi}}_{J}$, for frictional granular disks, where above ${\ensuremath{\phi}}_{J}$ there are no stress-free static states.
