Inspirals of stellar-mass compact objects (COs) into $\ensuremath{\sim}{10}^{6}{M}_{\ensuremath{\bigodot}}$ black holes are especially interesting sources of gravitational waves for the planned Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA).
