The results of heat capacity ${C}_{\mathrm{p}}(T,H)$ and electrical resistivity $\ensuremath{\rho}(T,H)$ measurements down to 0.35 K as well as muon spin relaxation and rotation $(\ensuremath{\mu}\mathrm{SR})$ measurements on the noncentrosymmetric superconductor ${\mathrm{LaIrSi}}_{3}$ are presented. Powder neutron diffraction confirmed the reported noncentrosymmetric body-centered tetragonal ${\mathrm{BaNiSn}}_{3}$-type structure (space group $I4\phantom{\rule{0.16em}{0ex}}mm)$ of ${\mathrm{LaIrSi}}_{3}$.
