We study the reduction of the (bosonic) string sigma model on an ${\mathrm{AdS}}_{4}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}}^{3}$ background. We give a brief review of the known results for the AdS part and apply an explicit reduction scheme to the ${\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}}^{3}$ part of the model. A brief discussion on the reduced model is presented.
