Measurement of inclusive neutral current<mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mml:msup><mml:mi>π</mml:mi><mml:mn>0</mml:mn></mml:msup></mml:math>production on carbon in a few-GeV neutrino beam
The SciBooNE Collaboration reports inclusive neutral current neutral pion production by a muon neutrino beam on a polystyrene target (${\mathrm{C}}_{8}{\mathrm{H}}_{8}$). We obtain $(7.7\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.5(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.5(\mathrm{sys}))\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}2}$ as the ratio of the neutral current neutral pion production to total charged current cross section; the mean energy of neutrinos producing detected neutral pions is 1.1 …
