We make a comprehensive study of indirect bounds on scalar leptoquarks that couple chirally and diagonally to the first generation by examining available data from low-energy experiments as well as from high energy ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and $p\overline{p}$ accelerators.
