Search for Flavor-Changing Neutral Current and Lepton-Flavor Violating Decays of<mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mml:msup><mml:mi>D</mml:mi><mml:mn>0</mml:mn></mml:msup><mml:mo>→</mml:mo><mml:msup><mml:mi>l</mml:mi><mml:mo>+</mml:mo></mml:msup><mml:msup><mml:mi>l</mml:mi><mml:mo>−</mml:mo></mml:msup></mml:math>

We report on a search for the flavor-changing neutral current decays D0→e+e− and D0→μ+μ−, and the lepton-flavor violating decay D0→e±μ∓. The measurement is based on 122 fb−1 of data collected by the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric e+e− collider. No evidence is found for any of the decays. …
