Measurements of the branching fractions of charged<mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mml:mi>B</mml:mi></mml:math>decays to<mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mml:msup><mml:mi>K</mml:mi><mml:mo>±</mml:mo></mml:msup><mml:msup><mml:mi>π</mml:mi><mml:mo>∓</mml:mo></mml:msup><mml:msup><mml:mi>π</mml:mi><mml:mo>±</mml:mo></mml:msup></mml:math>final states
We present results of searches for $B$-meson decays to ${K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$ with the BABAR detector. With a data sample of $61.6\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ pairs, we measure the branching fractions and 90% confidence-level upper limits averaged over charge-conjugate states (the first error is statistical and the second is systematic): $\mathcal{B}[{B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{*0}(892){\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}]=(15.5\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}{1.8}_{\ensuremath{-}4.0}^{+1.5})\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$, $\mathcal{B}[{B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{f}_{0}(980){K}^{+},{f}_{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}]=(9.2\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}{1.2}_{\ensuremath{-}2.6}^{+2.1})\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$, $\mathcal{B}[{B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\overline{D}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+},{\overline{D}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}]=(184.6\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}3.2\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}9.7)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$, $\mathcal{B}[{B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\rho}}^{0}(770){K}^{+}]<6.2\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$ …
