Measurement of the Branching Fraction and Polarization for the Decay<mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mml:msup><mml:mi>B</mml:mi><mml:mo>−</mml:mo></mml:msup><mml:mo>→</mml:mo><mml:msup><mml:mi>D</mml:mi><mml:mrow><mml:mo>*</mml:mo><mml:mn>0</mml:mn></mml:mrow></mml:msup><mml:msup><mml:mi>K</mml:mi><mml:mrow><mml:mo>*</mml:mo><mml:mo>−</mml:mo></mml:mrow></mml:msup></mml:math>

We present a study of the decay B−→D*0K*− based on a sample of 86×106 Υ(4S)→B¯¯¯B decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory at SLAC. We measure the branching fraction B(B−→D*0K*−)=(8.3±1.1(stat)±1.0(syst))×10−4, and the fraction of longitudinal polarization in this decay to be ΓL/Γ=0.86±0.06(stat)±0.03(syst).Received 22 August 2003DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.92.141801©2004 …
