We present a full demonstration of unambiguous state discrimination between nonorthogonal quantum states. Using a free-space interferometer we have realized the optimum quantum measurement scheme for two nonorthogonal states of light, known as the Ivanovic-Dieks-Peres (IDP) measurement.
