We investigate the escape behavior of systems governed by the one-dimensional nonlinear diffusion equation ${\ensuremath{\partial}}_{t}\ensuremath{\rho}={\ensuremath{\partial}}_{x}[{\ensuremath{\partial}}_{x}U\ensuremath{\rho}]+D{\ensuremath{\partial}}_{x}^{2}{\ensuremath{\rho}}^{\ensuremath{\nu}},$ where the potential of the drift, $U(x),$ presents a double well and $D,\ensuremath{\nu}$ are real parameters.
