We give an overview on some results concerning the unique solvability of the Dirichlet problem in<mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M2"><mml:mrow><mml:msup><mml:mrow><mml:mi>W</mml:mi></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mn>2</mml:mn><mml:mo>,</mml:mo><mml:mi>p</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:msup></mml:mrow></mml:math>,<mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" id="M3"><mml:mi>p</mml:mi><mml:mo>></mml:mo><mml:mn>1</mml:mn></mml:math>, for second-order linear elliptic partial differential equations in nondivergence form and with singular data in weighted Sobolev spaces. We also extend such results to the planar case.
