We report on a contrasting behavior of the in-plane and out-of-plane magnetoresistance (MR) in heavily underdoped antiferromagnetic (AF) ${\mathrm{YBa}}_{2}{\mathrm{Cu}}_{3}{\mathrm{O}}_{6+x}$ $(x\ensuremath{\le}0.37)$. The out-of-plane MR is positive and shows a sharp increase, by about 2 orders of magnitude, upon cooling through the N\'eel temperature ${T}_{N}$. A contribution associated with the AF correlations …
