We derive estimates for the characteristics of gravitational radiation from stellar collapse, using recent models of the core collapse of Chandrasekhar-massed white dwarfs (accretion-induced collapse), core-collapse supernovae and collapsars, and the collapse of very massive stars (≳300 M☉).
