X-ray absorption spectroscopy measurements in Pr${}_{0.5}$Ca${}_{0.5}$CoO${}_{3}$ were performed at the Pr ${M}_{4,5}$, Pr ${L}_{3}$, and Ca ${L}_{2,3}$ absorption edges as a function of temperature below 300 K.
