We address the issue of mobility of localized modes in two-dimensional nonlinear Schr\"odinger lattices with saturable nonlinearity. This describes, e.g., discrete spatial solitons in a tight-binding approximation of two-dimensional optical waveguide arrays made from photorefractive crystals.
