Crystal and magnetic structures of a series of quantum spin-trimer system ${\mathrm{Ca}}_{3}{\mathrm{Cu}}_{3\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Ni}}_{x}{(\mathrm{P}{\mathrm{O}}_{4})}_{4}$ $(x=0,1,2)$ were studied by neutron powder diffraction at temperatures of $1.5--290\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\mathrm{K}$. The composition with one Ni per trimer $(x=1)$ has a monoclinic structure (space group $P{2}_{1}∕a$, No. 14) with the unit cell parameters $a=17.71\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\mathrm{\AA{}}$, $b=4.89\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\mathrm{\AA{}}$, $c=8.85\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\mathrm{\AA{}}$, and $\ensuremath{\beta}=123.84\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}$ …
