The noncentrosymmetric superconductors LaPdSi${}_{3}$ and LaPtSi${}_{3}$ have been studied with magnetization, specific-heat, resistivity, and $\ensuremath{\mu}$SR measurements. These crystallize in the tetragonal BaNiSn${}_{3}$ structure and superconductivity is observed at ${T}_{\mathrm{c}}=2.65(5)$ K for LaPdSi${}_{3}$ and ${T}_{\mathrm{c}}=1.52(6)$ K for LaPtSi${}_{3}$. The results are consistent with both compounds being weakly coupled, fully gapped superconductors …
