SUMMARY We present unconditionally energy‐stable second‐order time‐accurate schemes for diffuse‐interface (phase‐field) models; in particular, we consider the Cahn–Hilliard equation and a diffuse‐interface tumor‐growth system consisting of a reactive Cahn–Hilliard equation and a reaction–diffusion equation.
