Let G be a locally compact abelian group or a Lie group, and A a perfect subset of G. Then theirs exist a subcompact B of G, of Haar measure zero, and such that the set AB={ab;a∈A,b∈B} has a non void interior. Hence if G is metrisable the only analytic subsets of G such that AB is of null measure whenever B is of null measure are countable.
