Abstract

0. Introduction.One of the long-standing questions in complex differential geometry is the following: given a compact complex connected manifold V with c λ (V) > 0, can one find a simple criterion for the existence of an Einstein Kahler metric on VΊ At present, there are no definitive answers, but in view of the partial results recently obtained by Sakane and Koiso, the following conjecture of Futaki [3] seems to be reasonable.
