On the formal solution of dual integral equations

Abstract

ff-functions as kernels. The result obtained is in fact an extension ofthe result given quite recently by Fox [3, p. 395]. The importance ofthe result established lies in the fact that the solution of dual integralequations involving general Meijer's G-functions and nearly all thespecial functions occurring in Applied Mathematics can be derivedas particular cases from our result on account of the most generalcharacter of the .fiT-function.We define the .ff-function by means of the Mellin-Barnes integral
