E. C. Titchmarsh

Edward Charles Titchmarsh (1899–1963) was a British mathematician widely recognized for his contributions to analytic number theory and Fourier analysis. He authored classic texts such as “The Theory of the Riemann Zeta-Function,” “The Theory of Functions,” and “Introduction to the Theory of Fourier Integrals,” which have had significant influence on modern analysis. Titchmarsh served as the Savilian Professor of Geometry at the University of Oxford and was known for his rigorous and elegant style of mathematical writing.
